The Quintin Head 2008 - to All Competitors

Thank you all for taking part in the Quintin Head. We hope you enjoyed the race and that the upstream paddle was not too arduous. The results are available here for viewing and printing. Congratulations to the University of Bristol for retaining the headship. Pictured below are some of the early starters in the race negotiating the Dukes Meadows bend.

The 2009 race is scheduled for January 24th.

 

The Quintin Head 2008

Raced under the ARA Rules of Racing and in accordance with the Water Safety Code.

Saturday 26th January 2008 11:00am

Chiswick Bridge (University Post) to Hammersmith Bridge

Approximately 4000m raced with the tide.

Boat Types : Eights and octuples only

Categories : All categories eligible for Open, Women's and Mixed entries.

Senior : Elite, S1, S2, S3, S4 & Novice

Junior : J15, J16. J18

Veteran : Vet B and above

 

Prizes: Tankards for members of fastest overall crew and pennant for fastest overall crew and for winning crew in each category with 3 or more entries

Entry Fees : £61 per crew (including £5 returnable deposit on number ) - Cheques made payable to Quintin Boat Club, or pay online via OARA

Entries close 6pm Saturday 19th January 2008
