1999 - Women at Quintin

At an Extraordinary General Meeting in October 1999 the members of Quintin Boat Club voted unanimously to change the rules to admit women members.

The first women to row as Quintin raced in the Plum Pudding VIIIs in a mixed crew and comprehensively won the event.

Quintin are committed to starting up a womens' section and have already amassed a large novice group and a recent Women's Henley winner! Look out for the Quintin Women's crews at regattas this summer. We are currently boating a women's novice IV+, 2x and a veteran novice IV+.
